Pam illustrated this story of the rescue of an abandoned dog named Rocket. It's based on a real life story. Barb Steele, Rocket's new guardian, created the Rocket's Rangers program to educate children about the responsibilities of caring for a pet. Barb used this story with Pam's illustrations as part of her presentations to school children.
